STRING RIDGE 2 SETUP INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove contents of stuff sack and lay tent body flat on ground.
2. Assemble the three poles: one orange pole with two hubs, one black, pre-bent vestibule pole, and one orange
pole with a distinct v-bend (called an arch-connect) in the middle that will cross over the middle of the tent body.
3. Orient the hubbed pole so that the larger “v” section is at the front of the tent.
4. You will notice one side of each hub has a piece that will fit into the plastic clips (shaped like a “u”) on
the tent body. Make sure that side of the hub is facing down.
5. Insert the ends of the hubbed pole into the grommets in the red webbing straps at the four corners of the tent.
6. Clip the two “u” shaped clips on the tent body to the underside of the hubs.
7. Clip the hook-shaped, twist clips on the tent body to the hubbed pole.
8. Insert the ends of the orange cross pole with the arch-connect into the grommets in the black webbing
straps located at the seam of the floor in the middle of each side of the tent.
9. Clip the remaining hook-shaped clips on the tent body to this pole.
10. Drape the fly over the tent – aligning the door on the fly with the door on the tent and matching the
red webbing on the fly to the red webbing on the tent.
11. There are four buckles on each side of the tent and fly (red on the corners, black on the sides). Clip the
two buckles (one red, one black) at the foot end of the fly and tent together.
12. Insert the remaining black vestibule pole into the sleeve above the vestibule door on the underside of the fly.
13. On either side of the door there are two small Velcro loops, attach these to the pole to help reinforce
the structure of the tent.
14. Insert the ends of the vestibule pole into the grommets on the remaining black webbing straps toward
the front of the tent.
15. Clip the remaining two sets of buckles on the fly and tent together.
16. Stake out all corners and guy lines for maximum stability, space and ventilation.
FAST FLY SET UP INSTRUCTIONS
If you purchase the optional Big Agnes footprint for any of our models, it will enable you to pitch a Fast Fly shel-
ter while leaving the tent body behind. The Fast Fly configuration requires the footprint, tent fly, poles and stakes.
1. Lay out footprint and stake down.
2. Assemble the three poles: one orange pole with two hubs, one black, pre-bent vestibule pole, and one orange
pole with a distinct v-bend (called an arch-connect) in the middle that will cross over the middle of the tent body.
3. Insert the ends of the hubbed pole into the grommets at the four corners of the footprint.
4. Insert the ends of the orange cross pole with the arch-connect into the grommets in the black webbing
straps located in the middle of each side of the footprint. This pole will be loose for now but will be stabilized
when all steps are completed.
5. Drape the fly over the poles you have set up, aligning the red webbing on the fly to the red webbing on the footprint.
6. On the underside of the fly there are two Velcro loops – attach these to the orange cross pole with the arch-connect.
7. Clip the two buckles on each side (one red, one black) at the foot end of the fly and footprint together.
8. Insert the black vestibule pole into the sleeve above the vestibule door on the underside of the fly and
attach the Velcro loops to the pole.

front corners of the footprint.
10. Clip the remaining two sets of buckles on the fly and footprint together.

HELPFUL HINTS FORTENT SET UP
• Our tents are easy to set up but we suggest you practice once at home before using them for the first time
to avoid late night bickering with tent mates while fumbling around in the dark.
• Before pitching tent, clear campsite of debris that may pierce tent floor.
• Big Agnes tents are all freestanding, but we recommend staking them out to increase space
and keep your tent from becoming a tumbleweed.
• Hang onto your stuff sacks or they’ll blow away and create backcountry litter.
• Pull on the pole sleeve fabric when inserting poles to avoid any bunching in the material.
• Push rather than pull poles through pole sleeves.
